Catnip Bags
Our colorful cotton pouches are the real thing! The filling is 100% catnip, no fillers. The fun cat patterns on the bags will vary, but all are cute and cat-friendly. We have to watch for the neighborhood cats when we have the store door open because they come in and play with the bags. All our crafters' cats have these at home. Approximately 3" square.

Stoneware Kitty Bowls
Stoneware kitty bowls and dog bowls are made with the same food safe, oven, microwave, and dishwasher-safe clay and glazes that are used on all Joken pottery. The bowls are hand-thrown on the potter's wheel and have been extensively tested by the three cats who live at the pottery. They suggest that they be kept full at all times. Bowls and 1½" high and 5" wide.

What's so good about catnip? Why do cats like it so much? What makes even dignified felines (including lions) rub, roll, purr, and leap for joy when they smell catnip?
The powerful scent comes from a chemical called nepetalactone; one part per billion is all it takes for your cat to know there's catnip in the air! This attraction is a genetic trait developed in most kittens at two months old.
Despite scientific research, the mystery remains. No one really know why this pleasure is exclusive to cats. Cats are just special, and that's all our cats think we need to know.
